How the ranking works
We start from FPL's own expected points for the gameweek (ep_next) and add 30% of the player's form (FPL's average points per match over the last 30 days), up to 3 points for expected goal involvements per 90, a fixture adjustment from the official FPL difficulty rating (easier fixtures and home games score higher, the effect is larger for defenders because clean sheets depend on the opponent, and doubles count both fixtures) and a small bonus for first-choice penalty takers. The total is then scaled by chance of playing and by how often the player has started. Goalkeepers, injured, suspended or unavailable players, and anyone flagged below 75% are excluded. 363 players were eligible this time.

How are the GW6 captain picks ranked?
Every eligible outfield player is scored from official FPL data: FPL's own expected points for the next gameweek (ep_next), recent form, expected goal involvements per 90, the FPL fixture difficulty rating and whether the match is at home, a bonus for first-choice penalty takers, then weighted by chance of playing and how often the player has started. Injured, suspended and unavailable players, and anyone below a 75% chance of playing, are left out.
When is the FPL Gameweek 6 deadline?
The Gameweek 6 deadline is Sat 10 Oct, 11:00 BST (14:00 Dubai). Your captain and vice-captain must be set before then.
What happens if my FPL captain does not play?
If your captain plays no minutes in the gameweek, your vice-captain's points are doubled instead, so pick a vice-captain who is likely to start.
How often is this page updated?
The data refreshes from the official FPL API roughly every 45 minutes, and the "Updated" time above shows the last refresh. The page always covers the next gameweek, so the same URL stays current all season.
