Varane secures €30m increase in market value; Tolisso’s market value declines due to poor performance at Lyon

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has seen 10 of its players featured in the top 100 most valuable players in the World following the latest market value update of Ligue 1. The new addition to the list is 17-year-old Warren Zaïre-Emery, whose market value has increased by €30m to €50m. This brings PSG’s overall squad value to €1.03 billion, making them the third-most valuable squad in the World. PSG is now closer to second-placed Arsenal, who have a market value of €1.1 billion.

Zaïre-Emery has impressed with his performance in Luis Enrique’s team, starting nine out of 10 games this season and contributing three assists. Alongside Zaïre-Emery, Bradley Barcola, a forward who joined PSG from Lyon in the summer, also saw an increase in market value from €18m to €35m.

Meanwhile, the biggest increase in market value in terms of percentages goes to Eli Junior Kroupi, a 17-year-old midfielder for Lorient. Kroupi’s market value has increased from €400k to €8m, marking a staggering 1900% increase. He has already scored three goals and provided two assists in seven appearances this season.

On the other hand, Marseille has suffered the biggest drop in market value among Ligue 1 clubs, with a loss of around €9m to their squad market value. Chancel Mbemba saw the largest decrease in market value, dropping by €5m to €15m. PSG’s Presnel Kimpembe also experienced a significant drop, with his market value decreasing by €6m to €22m.

One notable player who has seen a significant decrease in market value is Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso, whose market value has dropped to €8m, the lowest since 2016. Lyon has had a poor start to the season, with three draws and five defeats in their first eight games.
