FC Sheriff Tiraspol have shocked Real Madrid. Los Blancos hosted the club from Moldova, who are playing their first-ever Champions League campaign. Despite a significant gap in market value, Sheriff Tiraspol took all three points from Real Madrid. It was Sheriff’s second win after the Moldovans beat Shakhtar Donetsk on matchday 1.
Jasur Yakhshiboev opened the scoring for Sheriff as the Moldovan’s took a 1-0 lead into the second half. Karim Benzema equalized from the spot in the 65th minute. Then in the 89th minute, Sebastien Thill completed the sensation, scoring with a shot from a distance. Sheriff had beaten Real Madrid 2-1.
It is a sensational victory. Sheriff are not only playing their first-ever UCL campaign, but the club from Moldova are also competing with the smallest squad value in the competition. Real Madrid’s squad value of €794 million is 66-times higher than Sheriff’s squad value of just €12 million.

PSG beat Man City – Messi scores his first goal
