Reece James was sent off during Chelsea’s 4-1 defeat to Newcastle on Saturday and now faces a spell on the sidelines.
The Blues defender received his marching orders in the second half at St James’ Park.

James’ season has yet to really get going due to injury and this ban isn’t going to help.
How long will James be suspended for?
James received two yellow cards on Tyneside, meaning he faces a one-match ban.
The first yellow came in the 55th minute for kicking the ball away.
He received his second less than 20 minutes later when he pulled Anthony Gordon back.
That challenge in the 73rd minute left Simon Hooper with little choice but to send the England international off.

This capped off a pretty grim afternoon for James, who also got involved in an exchange with Newcastle’s assistant manager Jason Tindall.
This followed Joelinton being booked for essentially smashing the right-back with his forearm.
There was a disagreement between the Chelsea captain and Eddie Howe’s right-hand Man, and perhaps he didn’t get over that incident, as in the second half, he lost his head.
He will now sit out Chelsea’s game against Brighton next week.
