Real Madrid might have lost out on signing Kylian Mbappé this summer but Los Blancos are on the verge of signing another French wunderkind. On Monday night French TV station Canal+ was the first to report that Stade Rennais midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is in talks to join Real Madrid.
Julien Maynard of Téléfoot reported that the fee would be in the region of €28-30 million, significantly below the 18-year-old’s market value (€55 million). Multiple outlets, including David Ornstein from The Athletic and Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, have since confirmed that negotiations are underway.
According to Romano, Real Madrid have offered just above €30 million. Camavinga, who would be a free agent next summer wants to leave for Real Madrid this window. The player and Real have agreed on a contract that would run until 2026. Several Spanish outlets have since reported that Camavinga will undergo his medical tomorrow before completing his deadline day transfer to the LaLiga giants.
