31% of shares acquired
US investment in Italian football continues. North Sixth, a New York group that invests in sport as in other sectors, has acquired 31% of the shares of Ascoli Calcio and will work in partnership with the other shareholders (Ferinvest Italia Srl, the holding company of the Pulcinelli family, Ecological Districts owned by the Passeri family and 10% of the D’Alessandro family, who run Rabona Mobile). “Four important economic and entrepreneurial forces that give further impetus and vigor to a historic club, which in a few days will celebrate its 123rd birthday”, a press release by the club stated on Monday. The club is currently 7th in Serie B.

“It is an honor to own and manage a club born almost 125 years ago, which boasts the tradition, history, and is an important part of Ascoli,” North Sixth representative Matt Rizzetta said in a statement. “We thank the Pulcinelli family, who worked tirelessly and made numerous sacrifices during a difficult economic period to put Ascoli in a condition of future growth. We look forward to working with Massimo and his family to build a special future for the fans.”
