Gary O’Neil managed to keep his cool after Wolves had more points taken by VAR, but Jason Cundy wasn’t so calm.

Fulham won 3-2 at Craven Cottage in a thrilling Premier League clash, the result of which was decided by the pitch side monitor.
Wolves found themselves on the wrong side of four different calls, two penalties that were given after Michael Salisbury initially turned them down on-pitch, while Carlos Vinicius and Tim Ream were arguably lucky to avoid red cards.
It was the last and most decisive call that triggered Cundy so much, with Harry Wilson going down in the box in stoppage time.
Joao Gomes protested his innocence at the coming together, and it looked like Wilson was already on his way down, but after being asked to review the footage, Salisbury overturned his on-field call, leading to Willian’s winner from the spot.
Speaking shortly after, Cundy vented his frustration, saying: “VAR and PGMOL tonight are a disgrace.
“Vinicius should have seen red, I don’t care what he said, that’s a headbutt. That last penalty – that is comical.
“I can’t believe what I’ve just watched. What are we watching? What is our game? What have we turned into? What is this sport we love? Honestly, it’s a joke.
“It’s not a penalty, VAR does not need to get involved in that, that is re-refereeing the game. Michael Sailsbury is a bottler. He’s a bottle job. He called it right on the pitch. He’s got bullied into it.
Cundy launched into a brilliant rant about VAR
“I have no dog in this fight, I don’t care who wins or draws or anything, but that’s made me angry. It’s disgusting and it’s decided the game. It’s disgusting.”
O’Neil wasn’t so aggrieved with the Wilson penalty, saying: “The one on Harry Wilson we disagree on a little. He thinks there’s enough contact to give a penalty, I think it’s really soft.”
However, the Wolves boss claimed in his conversations with the referees they admitted they made two incorrect calls.
On Fulham’s first penalty, O’Neil said: “I’ve been in with the referee and he agrees with me. He says he wishes he was sent to the screen, he doesn’t think it was a penalty… he would’ve overturned it and given no penalty.”
And on the Vinicius headbutt, O’Neil added: “I discussed this with the referee as well. At the time they tried to tell me it wasn’t an aggressive enough headbutt, which is a crazy explanation by the way.
“You can’t headbutt people. My Son’s at home watching that and you’re saying to people you can headbutt them if you headbutt them softly.
“They’ve come out since, I believe, and spoken to a member of staff and said, ‘yeah, we got that one wrong.’”
