Tottenham and Sevilla are apparently working on a major swap deal. According to transfer experts Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca di Marzio, Sevilla’s homegrown talent Bryan Gil is set to move to London in exchange for winger Erik Lamela plus a €25 million transfer fee and bonus payments.
For Lamela, the longest-serving Spurs player after Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane, it would be a goodbye after eight years. In the past five seasons, he was mostly used as a substitute and has a contract expiring in the summer of 2022.

Gil is tied to Sevilla until 2023 and has a market value almost twice as high as Lamela’s – for the Spaniard it went from €9 million to €30 million in the past twelve months. Last season in particular, when Gil played on loan at SD Eibar, he impressed and is now one of the world’s most valuable talents up to the age of 20.
Tottenham head coach Nuno Espírito Santo is also expected to get a new goalkeeper in addition to Gil. Pierluigi Gollini of Atalanta is set to join Spurs on loan with an option to buy worth €15 million, according to Romano.
