French star on the move?
Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé is reportedly determined to depart the Ligue 1 giants immediately after the World Cup, despite signing a new deal with the club earlier this year. According to multiple reports in Spain and England, the France international is adamant about pushing through a move in the forthcoming January transfer window, even though he recently signed a new deal that was set to keep the most valuable player in the world in the French capital until the summer of 2025.

Initially reported by French outlet RMC Sport, but then confirmed by unnamed sources to Marca, the relationship between the player and his club has completely broken and the 23-year-old talent has now taken the decision to leave the club at the earliest possible opportunity. Intriguingly, the Spanish newspaper reports that PSG are willing to grant Mbappé his request, as long as he doesn’t depart the club for Real Madrid, who have been publicly courting the player for the past few years and even made a bid for the striker in the previous January window.
According to French publication Le Parisien, the striker feels “betrayed” by PSG due to a number of promises that were previously made upon the signing of his contract going unfulfilled. Speculation has surrounded the player’s relationship with team mate Neymar for much of the season, following a summer of reports suggesting that the French striker wanted the Brazilian player to be sold prior to the start of this season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG have no intention of selling the player in January, while CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs understands that while the club would consider a “massive offer”, a move in January remains highly unlikely.
