Austrian Bundesliga update

Karim Adeyemi scored on his German national team debut, capping off an excellent start to his international career. The 19-year-old Red Bull Salzburg star also had a great start to his club season and is one of the biggest winners of the recent Austrian Bundesliga market value update. The center-forward is now the most valuable player in the Austrian first division.

As part of an intermediary update, Transfermarkt.at has updated the market values of 56 players, among them some big names. RB Salzburg talents Benjamin Sesko (+€3m) and Luka Sucic (+€4.5m) saw their market value increase significantly to €8 million and €7.5 million, respectively.

The only non-Salzburg player among the ten biggest winners of the market value update is Kelvin Yeboah. The 21-year-old forward has scored four goals in the first six games and is on a good path to top the six goals he scored in 16 games last season. Born in Ghana, Sturm Graz‘s Italian striker has doubled his market value to €3.5 million. As a result, he is one of just three players with a market value above €3 million, not currently under contract at RB Salzburg.

Salzburg rise in the world ranking – Leipzig loanee Ohio jumps by 400%

RB Salzburg’s dominance has been evident at the start of the season. The Red Bulls lead the Bundesliga with six wins from the first six games. Adeyemi has scored six goals, and his market value has now doubled to €20 million. In terms of overall squad value, the Red Bulls increase their lead over the rest of the league as Mohamed Camara (+€6m to €16m), and Rasmus Kristensen (+€3.5m to €12m) also see their market values increase significantly. With an overall squad value of €152.75 million, Salzburg are now 63rd in the ranking of the most valuable clubs ahead of Club Brugge and just behind the 11th ranked team of the Serie A, Cagliari Calcio

The biggest jump in terms of percentage was made by a player who will want to make the jump to Germany sooner rather than later. RB Leipzig talent Noah Ohio is currently on loan at Austria Vienna and has recently made his starting XI debut. Under contract at Leipzig until 2023, the Dutch-born Englishman increased his market value by 400% to €500,000.
