Marcus Rashford has dedicated his goal scored during Manchester United’s win over Everton to his late cousin.
The Red Devils forward fired in their second goal of the 3-0 victory at Goodison Park on Sunday, dispatching a penalty into the top left-hand corner of the net.

He raised his arms in the air as he ran towards the travelling Man United fans in celebration, and it’s since emerged that it was in reference to the bereavement in the family. His cousin has not been named.
“I would like to dedicate the goal yesterday to my cousin who recently passed away. GBNF,” Rashford posted on Monday night.
The strike was just Rashford’s second in the Premier League this season, his other goal coming on September 3.
It was a surprise to see Rashford step up with the penalty given usual taker Bruno Fernandes was on the pitch. However, Fernandes decided to let Rashford do the honours.
“I felt Marcus needed a little bit of confidence, needed his goal,” he said after the match.
“Marcus is an excellent penalty taker too, I was 100 per cent sure he could score that penalty. It’s not about who takes it, it’s about scoring the penalty and Marcus did it perfectly.”

The scoring was opened by Alejandro Garnacho’s spectacular overhead kick before Anthony Martial’s composed finish rounded off the comfortable afternoon for Erik ten Hag’s men.
After a dreadful start to the season, Man United have experienced a resurgence in form in the league, winning five of their last six.
They are currently sixth in the table, six points off leaders Manchester City and four off the Champions League spots.
