The Manchester rivals face each other in the titanic clash at Wembley with another trophy at stake

Manchester United will be playing Manchester City at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday in the FA Cup final.

Pep Guardiola’s Man City are aiming to become only the second English club to win a historic treble of Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League. City have already bagged Premier League title, and are in finals of both FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.

Interestingly, Manchester United are the only English club so far to achieve the historic feat of winning the treble in 1999. Erik ten Hag’s club would like to win FA Cup 2023 to add to its domestic Cup tally as it lifted EFL Cup earlier this year.

City face a far different United than the one they thrashed 6-3 in October, said manager Pep Guardiola, adding his side have to be at their best on Saturday.

Team news

Guardiola said that Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish are fit to feature. De Bruyne, Grealish, Ruben Dias and Manuel Akanji all missed City‘s last Premier League game of the season at Brentford last week.

Anthony Martial is one of a number of Manchester United players who have been ruled out of Saturday’s FA Cup final.

Elsewhere, Lisandro Martinez and Marcel Sabitzer remain out with long-term injuries, while squad player Donny van de Beek is “not far away” from a return — though he won’t be fit in time for Saturday’s final.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw and Christian Eriksen were rested for the 2-1 win over Fulham last weekend, but all four are expected to return to face City in the final.

When and where to watch

Manchester City host Manchester United at Wembley on Saturday and the match will be live on SuperSport from 5pm.
