After 7 years with PSG

Juventus have signed Angel Di María and are also on the verge of announcing the arrival of midfielder Paul Pogba. The 34-year-old Di María last played for Paris Saint-Germain but was a free agent. The Argentine winger has signed a one-year contract.

Pictures of Di María at his medical and with his new head coach Massimiliano Allegri have already been circulating online. Di María played for seven years for PSG, but his contract was not renewed this summer. It is, therefore, a free transfer. The 122-times national team player has generated €179 million through his transfers to Benfica, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and PSG. Di María is set to earn €6 million a season after-tax in Italy. Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported that his salary can be further increased thanks to bonus payments. The player is set to be officially presented later this week, but the paperwork is now completed. Juventus have beaten out Barcelona, who were also interested in the player. His transfer to Italy means he has now played in four of the five top leagues in Europe.

The Frenchman arrived on a private plane on Friday and already spoke to the club’s television station. “I am very happy to be back,” Pogba said. “I can’t wait to get started and wear Juve’s shirt.”

The Frenchman played for Juve between 2012 and 2016 and is expected to complete his medical on Saturday. Pogba is expected to sign a three-year contract.
