After contract termination at Galatasaray
Inter Miami CF have signed US men’s national team fullback DeAndre Yedlin using their number one pick in the allocation ranking. The 28-year-old was available on a free transfer after his contract at Galatasaray was terminated in January. Yedlin has signed a contract through 2025 with a club option for 2026.
“I’m thrilled that we’re able to bring a player of the quality of DeAndre to Inter Miami,” sporting director Chris Henderson said in a club statement. “He is a very talented, exciting, and dynamic player on the pitch and an experienced winner who is also a positive character in the locker room that will help us improve our roster.”
Yedlin terminated his contract that was supposed to run until 2023 at Galatasary last week. The full-back joined the Süper Lig club from Newcastle United on a free transfer in February 2021 and played 36 games (one goal and one assist) across all competitions. With a market value of $3.41 million, Yedlin is the second most valuable player in the squad behind Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuaín.
