Major League Soccer expansion side Charlotte FC are in the final stages of signing their eighth player (all transfers at a glance). On Aug. 27, Fútbol.com.uy reported that Guzmán Corujo had left Nacional on a free transfer to an MLS club. Then on Monday, MLSSoccer.com confirmed that Corujo was going to join Charlotte FC.
Corujo would have been a free agent at the end of the season and has now terminated his contract early to sign a contract in Charlotte. It is Corujo’s first-ever transfer. The 25-year-old center-back is a product of the Nacional academy and has played 108 games for the club (four goals and two assists).
