After the mutual contract termination with the Vancouver Whitecaps in July 2021, Ali Adnan has finally found a new club. The 80-times Iraqi national team player has signed a contract at Danish first division side Vejle BK.
With a market value of €1.2 million, Adnan together with Osama Rashid is the most valuable Iraqi player in the world. Adnan joined the Vancouver Whitecaps on loan in March 2019. The Major League Soccer club made the transfer permanent in July 2019. There Adnan played 51 games (3 goals, 8 assists). The Whitecaps and Adnan agreed to mutually terminate the contract last July because of issues with the player’s visa. Adnan was the seventh most expensive player in Whitecaps history.
