The Premier League has released its interim update on market values, with Chelsea overtaking Real Madrid in squad value despite a disappointing start to the season. Brighton is the biggest winner, and the total market value of the league has increased to €11 billion. Thirty-one Premier League players have seen their values rise by €10 million or more, including Arsenal‘s Declan Rice and Manchester City‘s Rodri, both defensive midfielders who now have market values above €100 million.

In terms of the most valuable players in the Premier League, Erling Haaland remains at the top with a market value of €180 million, followed by Arsenal‘s Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden. Chelsea‘s Moisés Caicedo, one of the World‘s most valuable defensive midfielders, is also approaching the €100 million mark with a market value of €90 million. Chelsea‘s squad value has increased by €73 million to €999 million, surpassing Real Madrid’s squad value of €991 million.

Brighton has continued its strong form from last season and has seen its market value increase. Evan Ferguson is the biggest winner of the update, with his value rising by €35 million to €65 million. He could potentially become the next player to leave Brighton for more than €100 million. Brighton’s squad value has risen by €92 million to €468 million.

On the other hand, Manchester United is the only squad to lose market value following the update, with a slight drop of €5 million. While summer signing Rasmus Højlund’s value has increased, wingers Antony and Jadon Sancho, who were expensive signings for the club, have seen their values decrease.

Overall, the Premier League remains the World‘s most expensive football market, with 13 players now having market values of €100 million or more. The market values of players continue to fluctuate based on their performances and transfer fees paid for them.
