Assunção aside, several other players with a market value above one million were moved in loan deals. One of those players was Chidozie Awaziem. The 24-year-old center-back joined Alanyaspor from Boavista. Gaziantep, in the meantime, signed a player from Fenerbahce. Former English national team player Steven Caulker arrived on loan at Gaziantep. The club, which is going into its third Süper Lig season has collected just one point from the first three games.

Giresunspor completed the second most valuable transfer. The promoted Süper Lig side signed Shapi Suleymanov from Russian club Krasnodar where the right-winger had struggled for playing time. Giresunspor have no option to buy. Shapi is expected to return to the Premier Liga next summer.

Stefano Okaka, however, has moved to Turkey permanently. The 32-year-old forward joins Basaksehir from Udinese Calcio. Okaka has signed a two-year contract. Other big-name players with a market value of over one million are Youssef Aït Bennasser (€2m) from Monaco to Adanaspor, Ghayas Zahid (€1.8m) from APOEL to Ankaragücü and Ahmed Hassan (€4m) from Olympiacos to Konyaspor.
