To Flamengo
For the first time since joining Chelsea in 2015, Kenedy will be playing in Brazil. After four loan deals in the last five years (he last played for Grenada) the 25-year-old is on his way to yet another loan deal. This time he is headed back to Rio de Janeiro as he joins Flamengo. Kenedy emerged as a major talent at city rivals Fluminense eight years ago.
At the same time, the Blues underlined that there is still a future for Kenedy in London. The club signed Kenedy to a new long-term contract before sending him on loan. The previous contract ran until 2022 and is now been renewed to 2023. Flamengo are also working on a deal that would see Andreas Pereira join the club from Manchester United.
