5th USMNT player in Belgium?

Owen Otasowie is on the verge of joining Belgian side Club Brugge. The Wolverhampton Wanderers product has managed six appearances in the Premier League last season but overall has struggled to break into the first team and is looking for some much-needed playing time. According to a report by Het Laatste Nieuws reporter Tomas Taecke, Brugge have now signed the 20-year-old.

Born in New York, Otasowie was capped by US head coach Gregg Berhalter in the international friendly against Wales last December. A defensive midfielder, who can also play as a center-back, Otasowie’s market value is currently €1.5 million. But Wolves are expected to receive at least twice the amount from the Jupiler Pro League club. According to Taecke, Blauw-Zwart will pay €4 million for Otasowie. Otasowie would become the fifth player eligible for the US men’s national team in the Belgian top-flight
