Canadian Premier League side York United have signed Eleias Himaras from Toronto FC II. The 19-year-old Canadian youth international joins the club after number one goalkeeper Nathan Ingham suffered an injury. Himaras is represented by DC International Sports, which has played a key role in finding young players for CanPL clubs. Sources have told Transfermarkt that Himaras is rated highly by his new club and could push for a starting role.

“Eleias is a player we’ve been chatting about for a while and had hoped to have him in to train with us following our return from Winnipeg,” York United president  Angus McNab said in a club statement. “It’s a good opportunity for him to see what we are about and get some work done with Camillo [Benzi], (the club’s goalkeeping coach) and Niko up in Halifax.”
