Renato Sanches is officially Paris Saint-Germain’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window. For the fourth time, the club has spent a double-digit million euro fee. The central midfielder has signed a contract until 2027.
Lille will receive €15 million from PSG for the 24-year-old midfielder, and, as a result, the team from the French capital has now spent more than €100 million this summer—the actual sum is €106.5 million. Only five teams have paid more in transfer fees this summer. For Sanches, PSG is his fifth club in his fourth country in his still young career.
The Portuguese national team player has generated €78.5 million in transfer fees. Milan, who had already agreed terms with Lille, missed out because Sanches was determined to join PSG. LOSC turned down an initial loan-to-buy offer from PSG and was determined to receive €15 million.

Sanches to PSG: €94.5 million for Portuguese trio
At PSG, the midfielder will be joined by his Portuguese national teammates Nuno Mendes, Danilo Pereira, and Vitinha. The latter was signed this window for €41.5 million from Porto. Mendes was previously on loan, but his transfer was made permanent for €38 million. PSG have paid €94.5 million for players from Portugal. In the meantime, central midfielders Georginio Wijnaldum and Idrissa Gueye are set to leave. Wijnaldum is set to join Roma and Gueye has been linked with a move to Everton.
