Arrives from Porto
The deal is now done. Liverpool have signed Luis Díaz from Porto. The 25-year-old winger has signed a long-term deal that according to various reports from England is supposed to run until 2027. With a base fee of €45 million, which with added bonuses could rise by another €15 million, the Reds have made the Colombian the second most expensive signing in club history.
For Porto, the transfer is the second-highest outgoing deal in history. Only Éder Militão’s fee of €50 million in 2019/20 was higher. Diaz’s former club Junior FC also benefit from the deal. Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra reported that the club, which initially received €7.2 million from Porto in 2019 will now receive an additional €9 million.
