Agreement with DFB player
Borussia Dortmund is on the verge of signing Karim Adeyemi. According to information from Bild, the DFB player from Red Bull Salzburg is said to be in agreement with BVB, where he wants to take his next development steps and receive a five-year contract. The transfer is expected to take place next summer, but has not yet been finalized.
One issue that remains open is the transfer fee for the striker, who is being courted by numerous top clubs. According to Bild, the two clubs are still far apart. Salzburg is demanding over €40m for Adeyemi, who is still tied to RB until 2024. BVB, however, wants to pay a maximum of €35m. Sums in this range would make Adeyemi the most expensive BVB acquisition in history.

“It’s no secret, Adeyemi is a good player,” BVB manager Michael Zorc had recently commented on the rumors surrounding the 19-year-old. Top clubs such as FC Barcelona, FC Bayern or Liverpool FC had been linked with the talented striker.
BVB target Adeyemi ruled out for winter transfer after reaching CL round of 16
Adeyemi had ruled out a winter transfer on Wednesday after the 1-0 win over Sevilla FC and reaching the round of 16 in the Champions League. In a Sky interview, Adeyemi answered the question of whether he would be on the ball for the Red Bulls in the round of last 16 in February and March with: “Definitely!”
Born in Munich, Adeyemi left the youth team of SpVgg Unterhaching, who would benefit from a sale, in 2018 for Salzburg, where he had his big breakthrough last season. In 77 games for RB so far, the flexible striker and winner of the 2019 U17 Fritz Walter Gold Medal has been directly involved in 43 goals. In September, Adeyemi made his DFB debut under coach Hansi Flick and scored immediately in the first international match against Armenia (6-0).
