Roy Keane was not impressed with Erik ten Hag’s praise for Bruno Fernandes after Manchester United’s win at Everton.
The Premier League giants beat the Toffees 3-0 at Goodison Park, with Alejandro Garnacho scoring a stunning first of the evening.

Marcus Rashford netted their second after being given penalty duties by captain Fernandes, a decision he was praised for by boss Ten Hag.
“You can see how great a captain Bruno is,” he told Sky Sports after the win, before adding: “As a team, you need such leadership.”
However, former United skipper Keane, who told Ten Hag to take the armband off the midfielder, was not one to play along with such praise and pointed towards the club’s position as to why.
He told Sky Sports: “He’s giving toffee out there to Bruno for passing on the ball for the penalty. Absolute bloody rubbish, absolute rubbish coming out with that.
“Manchester United are sixth now, if you went back a few years and you were sixth you’d be embarrassed, but obviously they seem happy with sixth.
“They have a long way to go. Manchester United have to be competing with the best teams, that’s including Liverpool, [Manchester] City, Arsenal.
“Obviously you’ve got teams like Spurs, they’re having a decent spell, obviously [Aston] Villa, and of course Newcastle. They go to Newcastle next week, let’s see what Man United turn up because that’s what they’re supposed to do, turn up for big games.”
He added: “It’s not been good enough with the talent they’ve got. Look, they’ve got themselves in a nice position but the reason you’re playing for Manchester United is to compete against the top teams.”

Anthony Martial, who won the penalty, scored his ninth goal in 16 appearances against Everton to seal a comfortable 3-0 win.
The result is United’s fourth Premier League victory from their past five matches, and they’re now just four points off the top four.
Ten Hag has had his challenges this season but has still been able to help guide to the side to much-needed points in recent weeks.
However, it appears as though Keane still needs a bit of convincing to see the positive side of United at present.
