Dominik Szoboszlai couldn’t help but crack up at Pep Guardiola’s attempt at pronouncing his name.
The Liverpool star is facing Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday, live on talkSPORT, with the Reds looking to claim all three points to leapfrog their opponents and go top of the league.

Speaking to the media ahead of the clash, City boss Guardiola praised the Hungarian’s impact on the Reds’ midfield following the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
He said: “Time goes forward, eight or nine years, not the same players – they have Trent Alexander-Arnold inside or outside – but the idea is similar.
“We have a lot of space in behind, and they have incredible runs with [Luis] Diaz, with Darwin Nunez, with [Mohamed] Salah, of course, and now with [Dominik] Szoboszlai and [Ryan] Gravenberch.”
But despite his compliments for his side’s opponents, it was his pronunciation of Szoboszlai’s name that had fans cracking up.
To be fair to Guardiola, it’s not an easy surname to pronounce.
Now, the Reds star himself has reacted to the attempt, too.
Commenting on a post of the press conference clip, the 23-year-old posted four laughing face emojis, showing he must have been cracking up at the Spaniard’s pronunciation.
Despite the common confusion over how to say his surname, Szoboszlai has been a hit at Anfield, scoring twice and providing two assists in 17 appearances in all competitions.
