During the summer transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) emerged as the biggest winner in terms of increasing their squad value. They added €283.7 million to their squad value, moving up five spots in the rankings. PSG now joins only two other clubs in having a squad value of over one billion euros. Additionally, two Saudi Pro League clubs, Al-Ahli SFC and Al-Hilal SFC, also saw significant increases in squad value.

Among the clubs playing in Europe’s top five leagues and the Saudi Pro League, PSG had the largest increase in squad value. Their overall squad value grew from €800.1 million to €1.08 billion. Despite selling players worth €266.1 million, PSG’s record-breaking spending of €349.5 million resulted in a net increase of €546.3 million in squad value.

Late on deadline day, PSG added Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt for €95 million, further boosting their squad value. However, Frankfurt was among the biggest losers in the squad value ranking, with a decrease of €120.4 million. Wolverhampton Wanderers had a slightly larger decrease of €120.8 million. Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, both Bundesliga clubs, also suffered drops in squad value due to player transfers.

The Premier League has three clubs in the top five most valuable squads, with Manchester City, Arsenal, and PSG taking the top spots. Real Madrid surpassed Chelsea in squad value after acquiring Jude Bellingham from Dortmund. Bayern Munich dropped out of the top five due to a €12.2 million decrease in squad value.

In the Saudi Pro League, Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli were the most active clubs in terms of transfers. Both teams saw significant increases in squad value, with Al-Ahli’s value rising by €187.4 million and Al-Hilal’s by €184.6 million. However, the transfer window for Saudi Pro League clubs remains open until September 7, giving them more time to further increase their squad values.

Overall, PSG made the biggest strides in increasing their squad value during the summer transfer window. Their significant spending and acquisitions propelled them up the rankings, while other clubs experienced decreases in value due to player transfers. The Premier League and Saudi Pro League also saw notable changes in squad values.
