Ahead of MLS Cup Final
Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt want to sign Philadelphia Union talent Paxten Aaronson, multiple sources have told Transfermarkt. While there have been some suggestions that a deal could be already advanced, one source has added that a transfer is not complete yet and that Frankfurt are just one option for the 19-year-old attacking midfielder.

Update: MLSSoccer.com has since confirmed that a deal is indeed in place. Aaronson is set to undergo a medical at Eintracht Frankfurt and join the Bundesliga side in a deal worth €4m plus future incentives. The transfer makes the 19-year-old the third most expensive outgoing transfer in Union history.
Either way, the MLS Cup final against LAFC is likely the last game for the 19-year-old attacking midfielder. Rumors that Paxten could follow his brother Brenden Aaronson to Europe have circulated for some time, and in Frankfurt, a strong candidate has now emerged. In Ernst Tanner, the Union have a German sporting director with strong connections to the Bundesliga.
Tanner has recently told the league’s official homepage MLSSoccer.com that negotiating in German was a major benefit when it came to selling Brenden Aaronson for a club record fee to Red Bull Salzburg. In Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche, Tanner will now once again be able to use his German skills to negotiate a deal. Also, like Tanner, Krösche, has a past in the Red Bull system and, through the New York Red Bulls, is familiar with MLS.

Paxten Aaronson to Frankfurt? – Plays a similar role to Daichi Kamada
In Daichi Kamada, Frankfurt, who have recently advanced to the round of 16 of the Champions League, might lose a key attacking midfielder at the end of the season. Kamada’s contract expires at the end of the season, and the Japanese midfielder has thus far turned down offers to renew his contract.
