Forest deal fell through
Michy Batshuayi is on the verge of joining Turkish giants Fenerbahce from Chelsea. The Istanbul club announced an agreement with the Blues on a transfer of the 28-year-old forward on Friday. Batshuayi will travel to Turkey to undergo a medical and discuss final details. The imminent deal has also been reported to the stock exchange, which usually means that the player will sign his contract very soon.
How long Batshuayi’s deal with Fener is set to run has not been disclosed yet. The former Crystal Palace loanee was recently on the verge of a move to newly-promoted Nottingham Forest, but a transfer reportedly fell through shortly before the deadline as several documents were still missing.

Batshuayi had moved to Stamford Bridge from Olympique Marseille for €39 million in 2016 and has since been sent out on loan five times, including two periods at Palace between 2019 and 2021. The striker had scored 14 goals (five assists) in 42 games during his loan spell at Fenerbahce’s city rivals Besiktas last season.
