“Wish him all the best”
Jupiler Pro League club KVC Westerlo have added another American. After securing Bryan Reynolds on loan from Roma, the Belgian club has also added 19-year-old Griffin Yow on a permanent transfer from Major League Soccer side D.C. United. Yow has signed a four-year contract. Steven Goff from the Washington Post reported that the MLS club will receive $100,000, plus performance-based fees and 35% of any future transfer.
“We want to thank Griffin for his years of commitment to the club starting as an academy player,” said D.C. United general manager Lucy Rushton in a club statement. “He was one of the first Homegrowns to prosper from our Pathway 2 Pro program after getting his foothold in professional soccer by playing important minutes with our USL Championship side, Loudoun United FC. We wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career.”
