Irish winger
Orlando City have acquired Irish winger Jake Mulraney from Atlanta United in exchange for up to $275,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM). The deal is broken down to $100,000 GAM in 2022, $100,000 GAM in 2023 and an additional $75,000 in 2023 GAM should certain performance-based conditions be met. Atlanta will also retain a certain percentage of any future transfer.
“Bringing Jake to Orlando is a move that we’re excited about,” Orlando City general manager Luiz Muzzi said in a club statement. “We think his on-field abilities and his style of play will really complement the team we have and we’re happy to have him in purple.”
Mulraney originally joined Atlanta United from Heart of Midlothian in 2020 for an undisclosed fee. The 26-year-old winger has since managed 55 appearances (three goals and five assists) across all competitions for the Five Stripes.
