Deal with loan back

Deniz Undav has finished off his quick ascent with a deadline day move to the Premier League. The 25-year-old forward will join Brighton & Hove Albion from Belgian side Royale Union Saint Gilloise—the Premier League side confirmed the deal on Monday.

Brighton will loan the German forward back to the Jupiler Pro League side where he has been the league’s top goalscorer. Undav has the ambition to win a league title with Jupiler Pro League leaders Royale Union Saint Gilloise.

According to Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, Brighton will pay €7 million for the forward. A significant fee for a player, who still played in Germany’s 3.Liga for SV Meppen in June 2020. That summer he moved on a free transfer to Belgium—his market value has since increased from €800,000 to €5 million.
