Only 127 minutes this season
Pietro Pellegri has left AC Milan after around half a year. The attacker, on loan from AS Monaco, had only managed 127 minutes in Serie A so far this season, after which both clubs agreed to terminate the loan agreement, which was originally intended to last until the end of the season. Meanwhile, the forward will not be returning to his parent club, which instead found a different taker in Torino. Pellegri will join Il Toro on loan until the end of the season, who have secured themselves an option to buy. It reportedly amounts to €6 million.
Whether the forward will be used at Udinese Calcio next weekend is questionable, as he is still suffering from an adductor injury. In any case, the Italians’ forward line is well-stocked thanks to captain Andrea Belotti, Antonio Sanabria and Simone Zaza. Turin is the fourth professional stop for Pellegri, who made the headlines with his multimillion move from Genoa CFC to Monaco in the winter of 2018. The Monegasques paid a transfer fee of €20.9 million for the player, who was only 16 at the time, making Pellegri the most expensive transfer in this age group to date.

The youth international arrived at Monaco with high expectations, but failed to live up to his potential, scoring just three goals in 23 appearances. Instead, injuries slowed down the youngster, who missed a total of 99 matches. While his market value peaked at €8 million with AS Monaco in 2017, it has since dropped to €5 million. In the latest Serie A update, Pellegri was once again among the losers – dropping by €1 million.
