Cost €60 million in 2015
Anthony Martial will leave Manchester United in the winter transfer window, at least temporarily. According to media reports, Sevilla and the French forward’s parent club have agreed on the terms of a loan deal. It is expected that Martial will travel to Andalusia on Tuesday and start training with Sevilla on Thursday.
According to The Athletic, the Spanish first division club initially offered to pay only half of Martial’s United salary – the 26-year-old earns £240,000 a week in England (the equivalent of about €286,000). The Red Devils had turned down the approach. After a second round of negotiations no loan fee is due, while Martial’s salary will now be paid in full after all.

“He explained to me he’s been at Manchester United now for the last seven years and he feels it’s the right time for a change, to go somewhere else,” Man United head coach Ralf Rangnick said in late December. Martial is still tied to the club until June 2024. In 2015, he was signed for €60 million from AS Monaco, and since then has scored 79 goals and provided 50 assists in 269 matches.
