1st title in history
Pacific FC have written history. The club based on Vancouver Island beat two times champions and host Forge FC at Tim Hortons Field 1-0 on Sunday night to secure their first-ever Canadian Premier League championship.

Forge FC came into the game with momentum after their secured a spot in next year’s Concacaf Champions League via the Concacaf League. Pacific FC had two weeks off and it showed. The Hamilton-based club had 73.1% possession and had Pacific on the ropes but failed to capitalize.
The second half kicked off with a more proactive Pacific FC side. With the game more balanced Pacific started to create chances and finally in the 59th minute, Alessandro Hojabrpour beat Forge FC goalkeeper Triston Henry with a header following a set piece situation. The Tridents then managed to hang on to secure their first-ever title.
