Update Premier Liga
After the season in Kazakhstan has been concluded with Tobol Kostanay as champions and Kairat Almaty as cup winners, Transfermarkt.ru has updated the market values of 373 Premier Liga players.
The best rookie of the season was national team player Artur Shushenachev, who plays for last year’s champion Kairat Almaty. The 23-year-old scored 12 goals and was among the top scorers in the Central Asian country. Only Marin Tomasov (17 goals) scored more often in the championship. Shushenachev scored 22 goals in 40 games across all competitions and increased his market value from €550,000 to now €1 million.
Shushenachev’s teammate José Kanté saw a similar increase in his market value. After joining Kairat from Legia Warszawa last winter, Kanté became an important player in his new club’s attacking play. The 31-year-old managed 27 scorer points in 37 games this season—enough to see his market value improve by 50% to €1.5 million. He is now the fifth most valuable player in Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan Update: Kairat drops the most – Tobol duo gain
Kairat, however, also sees some of the biggest market value drops. After playing an inconsistent season, Croatian right-back Dino Mikanovic saw his market value drop by €600,000 to €1.4 million. His teammate Jacek Goralski, in the meantime, dropped to €1.8 million (-€500,000) due to his age but also after suffering several injuries.
At this year’s champion Tobol Kostanay, two players stood out. North Macedonian center-back Aleksa Amanovic anchored the league’s best defense (just 18 goals conceded in 26 games) and sees his market value improve by €300,000, making him one of the most valuable player in the squad with a market value of €1.3 million.
The most valuable player for Tobol is Uzbek national team player Igor Sergeev (+€200,000 to €1.7m). The 28-year-old joined the club from FK Aktobe and right away became an important player for the club, adding 11 scorer points across all competitions and justifying his new market value.
Marin Tomasov was the top scorer this season. The FC Astana attacking midfielder scored 17 goals and ten assists this season. But the 34-year-old is unlikely to generate a significant transfer fee in the future and sees his market value drop by 25% to €750,000.
