Transfermarkt has updated the market value of New Zealand’s first division, divided into three divisions. The Northern League, Central League, and Southern League. The Argentine forward Emiliano Tade from Auckland City remains the most valuable player despite a drop of €100,000 to €350,000. The 33-year-old dropped in value despite scoring eight goals in the first seven games. Birkenhead United forward Alex Greive, in the meantime, is one of the big winners in the Northern League. The 22-year-old forward has scored 19 goals in 19 games, and his first-ever market value is €250,000.

The COVID situation in Northern New Zealand has meant that the Northern League was concluded last August, and Aukland was declared the league champion. Auckland United, Eastern Suburbs, and Birkenhead finished second, third, and fourth, respectively. The top four teams were supposed to qualify for the National League and play for the national championship. But because league play is still halted in the North, only the Central and Southern League teams are now playing for the national championship. In the Central League, Gianni Bouzoukis from Wellington Olympic was the biggest winner; he is up to €300,000. Bouzoukis shares the top spot with 20-year-old forward George Ott from Wellington Phoenix, who also saw his market value jump significantly. Ott scored 21 goals in 18 games, which makes him the most productive forward in the first division.

In the Southern League, which is considered the weakest of the three divisions, Garbhan Coughlan from Cashmere Technical remains the most valuable player. The forward scored seven goals in six games this season, and his market value remains at €250,000. The National League kicked off at the start of November, and Wellington Olympic is leading the standings (to the table).
