Gustavo Bou extends New England Revolution contract – Remains a Designated Player

Major League Soccer Supporters’ Shield winners New England Revolution have announced that they have signed Gustavo Bou to a new contract that will run until the end of 2023. The forward will continue to occupy a Designated Player spot at the club. Signed for a club-record $7 million in 2019, Bou has been in excellent form this season scoring 15 goals and eight assists in 30 MLS regular-season games. 

“Gustavo has been an essential part of our team since his arrival in 2019 and he has proven to be among the league’s most prolific attacking players,” New England Revolution sporting director and head coach Bruce Arena said in a club statement. “We are pleased to extend Gustavo’s tenure here in New England and look forward to his continued contributions to our team.”
