Contract set to expire
Houston Dynamo announced on Thursday that they have parted ways with head coach Tab Ramos. The 55-year-old, who has averaged just 0.89 points per game has been in charge since October 2019. Ramos’ contract would have expired at the end of the season. The club also announced that assistants Omid Namazi and Martin Vazquez will also leave the club.
“I want to thank Tab for everything he has done for this club over the last two years, on and off the pitch,” Dynamo general manager Pat Onstad said in a club statement. “In the short time that I have been here, it was apparent that he has made a tremendous positive impact on the culture of our team and has helped make Houston a more appealing destination for players within MLS and abroad. There is a strong foundation here and we are grateful to Tab for that.” The club will begin the search for a new coach immediately.
