According to a report by The Athletichowever, Solskjaer will receive one last chance in the away match against Tottenham on the weekend.

But the tactical orientation of the club is not the only concern within the dressing room. Parts of the team are also unhappy with the role of assistant manager Kieran McKenna, who joined the first team from the U18 in the summer of 2018. The players do not feel that McKenna’s sessions are challenging enough and uninspirational.

Manchester United: Few alternatives to Solskjaer available on the market

The lack of alternatives on the market could, however, safe Solskjaer, who has collected just 1.81 points per game on average for the Red Devils. Antonio Conte has shown some interest but has objections to how the club is run and also does not like to take over projects mid-season. Other managers that have been linked to the club like Thomas Tuchel (Chelsea), Julian Nagelsmann (Bayern Munich), and Mauricio Pochettino (PSG) have long-term contracts at their respective clubs.
