Major League Soccer side CF Montréal have signed midfielder Joaquín Torres to a permanent contract that will run through 2023 with options for 2024 and 2025. Torres was previously on loan at the club from Newell’s Old Boys. Newell’s Old Boys published the transfer details on Thursday. The Argentine club will receive $350,000 and 10% of any future transfer profit.
“We are pleased with Joaquín’s transfer to the Club,” said CF Montréal Sporting Director Olivier Renard in a club statement. “Like Ahmed (Hamdi), Joaquín has adapted well since his arrival last winter. We are happy with what he has done so far this season and we are confident for the future. He is a player who is motivated to be in Montreal and he feels good at the Club.”
