First to Sampdoria
PSV hav confirmed that Mohamed Ihattaren will leave the club. The 19-year-old attacking talent will join Italian record champions Juventus and has signed a contract until 2025. Juventus have since loaned out the player to Sampdoria.
The Eredivisie side have been looking for a new club for Ihattaren for some time. The player was cut from the first team after a set of misdemeanors and failed promises. Among others, Ihattaren reported being sick even though he had traveled to his agent Mino Raiola, who was in Nice at the time.
“We wish Mohamed success in Italy and that the transfer will benefit him and his career,” Eindhoven’s technical director John de Jong said in a club statement. “Mohamed has experienced many highs and lows in the last few years. His debut and his first few months with the first team were promising. But circumstances have prohibited him to develop his full footballing potential. It is unfortunate, especially for Mohamed. We will grant him this transfer and hope he can fulfill expectations in Italy.
