Replacement needed?
Borussia Dortmund want Callum Hudson-Odoi and the 20-year-old wants to join the Bundesliga side, as Sky Germany reports. According to the TV channel, both parties agree on a loan transfer. The problem: Chelsea are currently reluctant to sanction a transfer.
The Blues do not want to lose the winger formerly linked with a move to Bayern Munich – at least not if no replacement is signed by August 31. According to reports, Atlético’s Saúl Ñíguez is a target for Chelsea. However, the Spaniard would not be a direct replacement, as he prefers to play in central midfield, while Hudson-Odoi is usually used on the wings.

Chelsea have plenty of competition in attacking positions in Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic. So far this season, Hudson-Odoi has only been used in the Super Cup. In Dortmund, the right-footer would be one of the five most valuable players in the squad, with a market value of €32 million.
