Signed for €20m in 2020
RB Leipzig and Alexander Sørloth will soon go their separate ways. On Monday, Bild reported that the 25-year-old Norwegian striker is on the verge of joining LaLiga side Real Sociedad. Sørloth joined Leipzig for €20 million from Trabzonspor last summer and is under contract until 2025.
Sørloth’s father, Gøran, a former striker, who played in the Bundesliga for Borussia Mönchengladbach, is convinced that his son will leave the club. Speaking to the Norwegian station TV2, Gøran said that he was “150% certain” that his son will change clubs until the end of the summer. Olympique Marseille were rumored to be interested in the forward.
