Loan for one year
Liverpool signed Ben Davies to a contract until 2025 from Preston North End last winter on deadline day. The 26-year-old was supposed to aid the Reds’ problems in defense, which were the result of an injury crisis. Davies, however, never played a single game for Liverpool and has now been loaned to Championship side Sheffield United.
“Really happy to be here, to be honest, I like the club, I like the manager and I think we have some really great players here,” Davies said in Sheffield United club statement published on Twitter. The 26-year-old is supposed to become an important player in the Blades quest to regain promotion to the Premier League.
Slaviša Jokanović has secured his first signing as Sheffield United boss with the acquisition of a vastly experienced and versatile Championship defender.
