AC Milan to PSG
According to the latest reports, the FC Barcelona icon, who had to leave the club for economic reasons in the summer, will receive a signing-on fee of €25 million, plus a net salary of €35 million to €40 million per year for an initial two seasons. After that, there would be an option for another season at the same salary.
Messi had to leave Barcelona after 21 years and 35 titles because the rules of Financial Fair Play in Spain had made a new contract for the Argentine impossible at the financially struggling club. PSG would be a possibility, Messi had confirmed at a press conference to say goodbye to his former club on Sunday.
