Scored 20 goals in Austria
Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy have completed the transfer of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Dejan Joveljić. The 21-year-old Serbian striker joins in a deal worth an initial €3.5 million—the fee can grow to €4 million thanks to add-ons—and will sign a contract that will keep him at the club for the next four-and-a-half years. Joveljić will occupy an MLS U22 Initiative spot.
“Dejan is an exciting, goal-scoring forward who is amongst the brightest talents in Europe,” LA Galaxy general manager Dennis te Kloese said in a club statement. “We are thrilled to welcome Dejan to Los Angeles and look forward to his contributions to the club.”

Joveljić was initially signed by Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019 to replace star Luka Jović but struggled to make an impression during his first year in the Bundesliga. He did, however, impress while on loan at Austrian side Wolfsberger AC that has caught the eyes of other clubs. In 46 games for the Austrian Bundesliga club, Joveljic managed 20 goals and increased his market value to €4 million. Joveljić is one of the ten most expensive signings in LA Galaxy history.
