Transfer rumors continue to surround Gianluca Busio. The 19-year-old Sporting Kansas City midfielder has been heavily scouted by several Italian clubs. Transfermarkt can confirm multiple reports that Venezia FC together with an unnamed Belgium club are now the favorites to sign the talented US men’s national team midfielder.
With negotiations progressing, it appears that Busio will be signed in a deal that will be slightly above his current market value. With a potential transfer in mind, Busio’s market value was adjusted to $6.6 million on Friday (read the update here).
The reliable Tom Bogert from the league outlet MLSSoccer.com reported on Friday that Sporting Kansas are looking for a deal in the region of $7 million, plus a sell-on and easy-to-reach performance-based add-ons. A transfer in that category would be both a new record signing for Venezia and also a record sale by Sporting Kansas City. Following the MLS update, Busio is ranked among the 25 most valuable US men’s national team players.
