Movement at Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur have sealed two more deals on deadline day, both with Juventus. Right winger Dejan Kulusevski (on loan) and central midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur (permanent move) arrived in London and signed for Spurs. Juventus, meanwhile, made all numbers of the transfer and loan fee public.

The Italian side officially announced that Spurs pay a loan fee of €10 million for Kulusevski until 2023 – €3 million for the rest of the current season, €7M for the next campaign. Tottenham then have an option to buy after the 2022-23 season, which could become mandatory subject to achieving certain objectives by the end of the loan. The purchase price in both cases, whether option or obligation for Spurs, is going to be €35 million, payable in five years.

As Tottenham announced, the midfielder has signed a deal running until 2026. He is now one of the 20 most expensive signings in Spurs history.

Now, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has his long awaited new signing for the right wing as well as a replacement for Tanguy Ndombélé, who was loaned out to Lyon. There could also be further movement on the departure side at Tottenham until midnight, as Everton are courting Dele Alli.
