Tottenham paid tribute to the late Terry Venables with a minute’s applause ahead of their clash against Aston Villa.
It was announced on Sunday that the former Spurs, Chelsea and England legend had sadly passed away at the age of 80.

Venables famously led the Three Lions to Euro 1996 and enjoyed a hugely successful spell as a player too.
He won the League Cup with Chelsea before signing for Spurs in 1966, winning the FA Cup in his first season at White Hart Lane.
The former midfielder went on to manage the north London club and won the FA Cup once again in 1991.
Spurs took the opportunity to pay tribute to him ahead of their home clash against Villa by holding a minute’s applause.
Supporters also chanted his name as the applause rang out around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Players also wore black armbands for the Premier League fixture as English football bids farewell to one of its legends.
Gary Lineker played under Venables’ management during his spells at Barcelona and Spurs.
He took to X to pay his own tribute to his former boss, saying: “Devastated to hear that Terry Venables has died.
“The best, most innovative coach that I had the privilege and pleasure of playing for. He was much more, though, than just a great manager, he was vibrant, he was charming, he was witty, he was a friend.
“He’ll be hugely missed. Sending love and condolences to Yvette and the family. RIP Terry.”
Spurs also posted a tribute to their former player and manager: “The Club is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of former player and manager Terry Venables.
“Our deepest condolences are with Terry’s friends and family at this incredibly difficult time. In tribute, we shall hold a minute’s applause prior to kick-off and our players will wear black armbands during this afternoon’s fixture against Aston Villa. Rest in peace, Terry.”
